Show Tune Sunday: “Eponine’s Errand” (Les Mis West End Cast 2011)

Hi, all. I have been out of town (and internet connection!) for the past few days so I haven’t been able to do any blogging! I’m still patiently (not patiently at all) awaiting word on Les Mis callbacks. Not much else exciting is going on in my life right now. I’m just constantly watching Les Mis and listening to it. I’m kind of obsessed. It’s just amazing.

I’ll write tomorrow! Sorry this post was so short. Just kind of filler until the real action starts 🙂

4 Days More: “Do You Hear The People Sing?”

Yes, it is true. In just four days time, I will be auditioning for Les Miserables. If you didn’t already know this (you probably didn’t), Les Mis is my favorite musical of all time. Delta Center Stage is particularly awesome at doing plays I’m a huge fan of. The only other plays I have done with them have been my other two favorites, Peter Pan (I played Wendy) and Beauty and the Beast (I was an epic napkin). So for them to be doing this play, is pretty wicked. My dream role in Les Mis is Eponine. I’m going to try my hardest at getting the role, but I’m not really getting my hopes up. Any part in this play will be fun and will suit me just fine. I’m not really worried! But I mean, if I got to play Eponine, I would probably die. (spoiler alert…she dies)
Anyway, I’m just super pumped to audition. I’m ready to be back at DCS. I will probably write about the whole Les Mis experience on this blog. Scratch that, I WILL. So get excited 🙂

Showtune Sunday: “Seasons of Love”-RENT (Glee Cast Version)

Sigh. The Quarterback. Cory. I’ve been thinking about him a lot today. I was looking for a RENT playbill I want to ask for for Christmas and coincidentally, “Seasons of Love” started to play. I love this song. It’s one of my all time favorite showtunes, and it’s actually one of the first ones I ever heard. I can remember riding to my grandmother’s house and singing it and literally not knowing what number I was saying. 525,600. 🙂

“Picture Show” (Bonnie and Clyde Broadway)

Okay. I watched this musical today, and I am obsessed. Laura Osnes and Jeremey Jordan do a fantastic job, and this show definitely deserved a longer run on Broadway.
